Historically, the Haitian portion of the island was French ruled and the Dominican portion was Spanish ruled. Of course, the original people of the island were neither French or Spanish. They were Taino, a native tribe that is thought to have arrived on the Hispaniola Island from the upper part of South America. I am taking a dream vacation to China and one of the places that I plan to visit is Macau. I want to see the ruins and museums and I also want to get some gambling in. Our Holidays Are Together Now

I cannot believe I am married to the woman of my dreams. We were just married a few weeks ago and we got back from our ten day honeymoon last week. We worked hard so we could take the time off work to spend our first ten days together as spouses without any distractions. It was the first time we had been away together, and we knew that we wanted to make sure we did something special every year. We didn’t want to take our time together for granted at all. We looked up Thomson Holidays 2013 yesterday so we can already start planning our first summer holiday together. I think we have determined that we would like to go on a cruise together. Neither of us have ever been on one, and the descriptions sounded so nice. I have a feeling that we will feel that way about most anything though, since we will be doing all of this together.

This humpback excursion out of Punta Cana is so incredibly fun we went on it twice in one trip! It was so spectacular that the boys and I had to go again so we called up Seavis to see if we could and they said come on. Just seeing the majestic humpbacks would be enough but the scenery of the whole trip is just wonderful as is the smell of the ocean and the ride through the beautiful turquoise water. The male whales are all there competing for the female’s attention and boy do they try everything to show they are the one to pick. If I was a female humpback I’m not sure which one I’d pick because all of these creatures are just so amazing to watch up close. This is an ecofriendly ecotour so distance from the whales is respected so it doesn’t disturb them or make them want to find a new spot. Just the opposite, the guides say they are more comfortable with the boats every year.

A Well Known Wine Farm

Some very good wine is served at The Raft Restaurant in Walvis Bay, notably, wine from the estate of Groot Constantia.The wine farm Groot Constantia was bought by the British Colonial Government from Jakob Pieter Cloete on 19 October 1885, and has remained in Government hands ever since. As the quality of and demand for Constantia wine had steadily decreased over the years, the Colonial Government first established an agricultural experimental farm on the Estate. On this farm, young men from all over the Cape Province learnt better methods of farming with sheep, fruit and vines. In 1926 the South African Government established a private company named Groot Constantia Estate (Pty.) Limited and ran the farm as an Estate wine farm, planting the varieties popular at that time. These vines produced sweet white table wines, and fortified sherry and port wines. In 1943 the Government leased the farm to the Bertrams wine organisation, which has long been connected with the South African wine industry. On Constantia Bertrams made sweet white wine for sale in Cape Town and dry red wine for export purposes. These wines were made from the old port type and sherry type vines, plus Steen and Cinsaut. In 1957 Bertrams’s lease expired and it was not renewed by the South African Government. Once again, the Groot Constantia Estate began to make its own wines.

We Will Be Staying at a Clearwater Beach Hotel

I was checking out the various hotels on Clearwater Beach in Florida. I wanted my wife and I to have a great fall vacation. We were going to go to Florida in the middle of winter, but we decided to go ahead and go now instead of waiting. We don’t particularly care for the winter months up here in the northeast. We don’t like the heavy snow and the brutal cold. That was why we were going to take a three week vacation in the middle of winter down in Florida. However, the peak season will have long been over and we wanted to enjoy some of the touristy things that might not be available in the middle of winter even though Florida will have much nicer weather. We like the fall season up here and go to the mountains to stay a couple of days and take pictures. This year we have decided to just go early to Florida.
